The Buzzkill is Vater's latest advancement in muffling technology. Unlike muffling-rings which have a tendency to fall off, or internal mufflers which rattle and squeak, the Buzzkill provides easily adjustable and solid muffling

The Extra-dry is dome-shaped, and has more weight and mass than the original Buzz Kill, which makes it an ideal choice for larger drums. They're great for getting that funky, super-flat snare drum sound. The Extra Drys also have a tremendous effect on ride cymbals, greatly reducing wash and enabling excellent stick definition.
