The Ibanez SR505 Series Five-String Electric Bass combines a very playable thin neck and a double cutaway mahogany body in open pore finish.
Bolt-on SR5 five-piece Jatoba/Bubinga neck with 12" radius rosewood fretboard,adorned with oval inlays. Bartolini MK-1 passive humbuckers with Bartolini EQB-IIIS ACTIVE three-band EQ, and mid-frequency selector switch
Some of these basses have a very deeply recessed truss rod nut-this is one of those. Includes a pair of tweaked truss rod wrenches that seat properly into the truss rod nut. Also,since the truss nut is so deeply recessed,you do have to loosen and remove the two inner bass strings from their nut slots in order to properly adjust the truss rod.(in case you weren't already aware)
BTW-the bridge is actually black satin finish. The camera flash made it look like it's a chrome plated bridge.It isn't !
Excellent condition except for a very minor ding (?) at the edge of the input jack.(Check the pics thoroughly SVP)
NO buckle rash,fret wear,chipped cutaway horns,etc.NO sweaty dirt on the back of the neck or body. The surrounding area around the pkps shows a very slight amount of "sheen" from playing.No nasty thumb gouges though. Set-up prior to listing to play superbly,of course..Wth a new padded gigbag
