1980's era all tube amplifier made in England by Studiomaster.often refered to as a "british boogie"
Dual channel 60watt rms output.
12AX7 triodes are used in the preamp and tone control stages although the power output valves were not the usual EL34s found in British amp designs. Instead,a pair of 6L6 beam tetrodes are used for their classic tone and punchy mid characteristic,thanks to the Pull bright on channel 1/Pull boost on channel 2
The 5 band graphic equaliser can be switched into the signal path expanding tonal possibilities. The on board spring reverb is a 16" long spring type, selected for its superior sound.A very useful feature is the effects loop on the rear panel,along with FX mix level control. An xlr direct output socket allows direct connection to any typical mixer or recording unit .
The 4 or 8 ohm output impendence selector switch allows the use of most external speaker cabinets
The steel amplifier chassis measures 19 x 3 inches with all the valves mounted horizontally to keep head dimensions on a compact scale. A Papst D.C. low noise fan is fitted to the rear panel to reduce heat build up around the output stage. The power supply uses a toroidal A.C. transformer for its small size and quiet electrical and mechanical operation.
The amplifier chassis is finished with a unique chrome front panel housed in a custom designed and hand built enclosure,made here in our own shop.The cabinet design allows for easy access and chassis removal when any future servicing would be needed.
